How to Brew

Follow these easy steps to unlock the full flavor and benefits of nature's herbal gifts.

  1. Boil Water
Heat fresh, filtered water to a gentle boil.
Tip: For our delicate herbal blends, slightly cooler water (just off the boil) works best.

  2. Steep Tea
Place your Herbal Athlete Tea Blend (tea bag or loose leaf) in your favorite mug and pour the hot water over it carefully. Ensure the herbs are fully submerged.

If Loose Leaf: Measure the herbs. A typical dosage is around 2 to 3 teaspoons (approximately 2 to 5 grams) per 8oz. of water, depending on the potency of the blend and individual preferences. Place in teapot, infuser, or a mug to use with the strainer straw. (Be extra careful to check water temperature when drinking from strainer straw).

Brew Tea in 10-24 oz. of water, depending on your desired tea strength.

  3. Cover & Wait
Cover your mug and let it steep for 7-10+ minutes to fully release the flavors and benefits.
Important: Press tea bag gently, yet firmly, against the side of your mug to release the flavor and goodness.
While waiting, why not call a bestie or write down 3 things your grateful for?

  4. Enjoy
Take out the tea bag, give it a gentle squeeze, and sip slowly.
Optional: Add your favorite natural sweetener, if desired.

Our Own Steeping Practice

At Herbal Athlete, we tend to leave the tea bags in while we sip and enjoy. (Unless the blend contains Black Tea/English Breakfast, as it tends to get bitter if over-steeped).

Optional: Make Double the Tea with a Single Bag/Serving

Steep for 10-15 minutes or so and then immediately brew another cup with the same tea bag and leave that tea bag in.

Storage: Store any leftover herbal infusion in a sealed container in the refrigerator. It is advisable to consume the remaining brew within 24 hours to ensure freshness and potency.
